In this discussion, I spoke with Potter, a professor emeritus at The New School, about how the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein cultivated ties among top academics and college presidents. We also talked about how Epstein and Trump may have viewed higher education similarly as outsiders from New York City’s outer boroughs who did not attend Harvard or Yale.
