I am frequently asked two questions about traveling to Ukraine. What do you do during air raids? How do you get there? I wanted to tell subscribers my answers to these questions because the experience is different from ordinary modern life in many ways. (Ukraine, however, is far more digitized than Germany, although that is a slightly different story.) I am on a train passing through Krakow here to explain.

An air raid siren typically uses a rotor and a stator to chop air, which is forced into it by radial vanes in the spinning rotor, creating sound.
